like when I see a movie that was filmed in 1995 I’m like oh that was only like 5 years ago
then I realize it was actually 17
Now I really understand why the graveyard (especially the grave of Elena’s parents) is significant to Delena. It’s not just that Damon watched her there in the Pilot or that they shared looks in 2x21. Both scenes at the graveyard are significant but we never knew where exactly this significance came from.
May 23, 2009. It’s not just any day. It’s not just the day when Elena’s parents died or when Stefan saw Elena for the first time. It’s not even just the day when Damon met Elena first. It’s the day when we last saw Elena Gilbert, the more or less happy Elena who had both parents and who had to deal with average teenage problems only. It’s the day when Damon met this girl. Damon is probably the last person (except for Elena’s parents) who talked to this Elena. This is the deep connection between them and this is why the graveyard is one of their places (no matter how weird it may sound).
Damon and Elena are the ones who are connected by the accident, not Stefan and Elena. Damon had a huge impact on her that night, not Stefan. Now I see how the whole story of “The Vampire Diaries” turned upside down.
At this point I don’t really know if I can imagine Delena not being endgame.
Last night a dream came true, not only for Kat but for many fans of her. Performing on Ellen was something we always wanted for her and now this moment of glory is overshadowed by many crude comments, hate and criticism.
As an artist i fully believe in appreciating all kinds of music and art simply because i know how much passion and heart’s blood it takes to keep the dream of success alive.
But i also understand that there will always be people who are not as open and committed to the arts as i and many others are. And i also understand that art will always be something people will fight about.Not everyone has to like Kat’s performance but i am not willing to just sit back and let people, who know nothing about her, hurt her by sending hateful and unnecessarily rude commentary on last nights performance her way.
Love is much stronger than hate and as long as my heart is beating i will do everything in my power to let Kat know she is loved and appreciated, as a person and as an artist.
There is also a spark of hope inside of me that some of you will decide to join me.
Just send Kat a nice tweet every now and then or let her know how much you care about her through a tiny textpost on tumblr. Maybe you can even tell her what influence she had/has on you and your life.

Noone should let themselves be soaked in by the darkness of hate when we still have the power to spread some love and light.

Our girl continues to do so much for us and now it’s time to give something back and maybe we can even show people that there is no place for hate in this fandom in the process.
